Galway County Building Visit: ffrench Mausoleum

The ffrench mausoleum was designed by Francis Persse (1897 – 1901), to contain the tombs of Robert ffrench and his daughter Kathleen who inherited vast tracts of land in both Russia and Ireland. She commemorated her father with a life size effigy in Carrara marble placed within the chapel of the castellated building, which is situated within the wooded demesne of their former home.
